We wanted to try sledding again but it was just too cold. So we went to the library and found a Valentine's Day book about Lily. What a find. For other fun this weekend Oliver and Johnny came over and we went to the Museum.

Like father Like Daughter
Lily and Dada have matching footwear. Well, really she matches the whole male Taylor clan. Uncle Ralph saw these and knew Lily had to have them. I don't know if she knows they are like Dada but these are now her favorite shoes.
Portland Snowsuit
Nana (Great Grandma Lillybelle) sent Lily a cute outfit. All the cousins got matching ones and the Portland cousins called it a snowsuit. Lily thinks it might be good for the parks in the summer. She wanted to wear it right away.

First day of school
Today was Lily's first day of daycare, or the Academy, according to Mark. She loved it! So much fun to be had with the sand table, play dough, a new kitchen, trucks, and an indoor slide. She was so busy playing she couldn't stop for a photo, but I got this one of her in action.

Lily's first membership
The most surprising and wonderful gift this Christmas was from Jill's supervisor Mike. He got the family a membership to the Anchorage museum. So within 24 hours of receiving the gift, we headed off. Lily loved the water table. Not the same as the warm Maui ocean but it was really fun. We might go every day if these temperatures don't warm up.
Sledding again
We tried sledding again, but this time with a new beautiful sled from Grandma D and Uncle Matt. Lily didn't love it yet but it was -4 and 80 degrees cooler than the day before. Who can blame her? We will try again once it's back in the positive temps.
Hawaii
It is was as good as we had been dreaming about for nine months. Besides the skinned knees with no snow suit to protect them, Lily loved Hawaii. She loved going outside, sometimes without shoes, to walk around the resort. What freedom to go out and not be bundled up! Lily and Elsa played in the sand, the waves, at the playground, and the pool. It was an amazing trip. Now we just have to figure out how to go back.
