Santa, please bring more wipes!

You would think with all these new presents Lily would be very entertained. Sometimes. But there is nothing more fun than a box of wipes left unattended.

Hungry anyone?

Lily has been cooking up a storm. GG sent Lily a bright red kitchen for Christmas. And lucky Lily it was the day before Thanksgiving when it arrived and Uncle Matt was in town. So how long does it take to put together a little red kitchen? Two civil engineers, 1 bottle of Scotch, and 2 hours. Lily woke up very early to call GG to say thank you.

Christmas already?

Since we won't be in Anchorage Christmas morning, as Santa's helpers (the postman, UPS, and Fed Ex) have delivered packages, we have let Lily open them. Its been fun all month long.

Christmas PJs

The cousins won't be together on Christmas morning but I thought it would be fun if they had matching PJs. What darling models.

Sledding

It was warm today so we thought we would try a little sledding. A friend at Mom's work lent her a sled. Lily enjoyed only the first half of the outing so we will try again.

Princess Lily

She looks like a natural huh?  Thank you Grandma Taylor for the special outfit.
Crayons from my Halloween bag from Camp Sherman.
But where oh where are my other Princess cousins?

First snow!

We wondered how long it would stay away, but the snow is finally here. Most of Anchorage probably woke up to snow. But not the Taylors. Lily woke us up bright and early so we could see the first snow come down. Lily was not too impressed. She also did not want to wear her coat so that might have had something to do with it. Thank goodness we have 7 more months of snow for her to get used to it.

Another Halloween Bash

Since Mom did not have to plan the Haunted Halloween Fun Night at UAA this year, Lily got to go and enjoy the fun.  She liked digging for coins in the sand and picking up ducks in the water.

Halloween Party

Lily, the lady bug, had fun at a Halloween Party hosted by mom's friend from work. She got to dance with Cinderella, decorate cookies, pin the nose on a pumpkin, and there even was a spider pinata. As usual, Lily did not mix it up in the candy frenzy when the pinata broke, but Ava the sweet witch made a bag up for Lily.

A New Do

It was time for Lily to get her first haircut. Sometimes without bows her hair would fall into her face. And no matter the amount of cute clips GG and Aunt Sonya got Lily, they just never stayed in for too long. Lily only goes to the finest hair salons "Haircuts for Peanuts". The haircut lasted about 2 min and she was fascinated by the bubbles for the first 90 seconds. Below is a before, during, and after shot.

The Pumpkin Patch

Lily got to go to the pumpkin patch for the first time.  Her cousins Audrey and Kate took her to show her the ropes.  Lily thought walking through the pumpkins was pretty cool.  All the girls got pumpkins.  We also went on a hayride, dug for potatoes, ran through a cool harvest tube, played on a tractor, did pumpkin bowling, and walked through a hay maze.  It was so fun Lily fell asleep on the way back to GGs.  For more photos, you can check out  Audrey and Kate's Blog

Oh Ducks!

Monday was beautiful so we went to Cheney Lake. It was just a few minutes away and we went for the playground. There was a cool tube slide but we did not last too long because Lily saw the ducks. The lake was cold and full of duck poop but that did not stop her. When she finally sat in the lake, we thought we better go.

Twisty Slides

We found some new twisty slides this weekend and Lily was impressed. There is a park near our house that has a great slide. We had never been to that park because it is also an equestrian center and Mark forbids Lily to like horses. A great playground though so we will be back.

Big heads

Lily had her 15 month check up on Saturday. We are proud to confirm she too has a big head like her cousins Audrey and Kate. Lily was in the 90th percentile. She is still a petite girl with only 20% for height and weight. She decided to wear her bike helmet inside to protect that large, precious head. The helmet said it was for 3 year olds, but low and behold it fits!

Fashionista

Lily got two new outfits because they were on clearance at Fred Meyer. She is petty excited but them, but they are 24 monthers so you will have to wait until next summer for the fashion show.

Important lesson

Lily wants to remind everyone that once in awhile it is important to stop and smell the flowers (especially if they are lilies!)

Park time with GG

GG is here this week so Lily has been taking her on a tour of all the parks in Anchorage. Te weather has been nice and sunny. The big park news is that Lily's favorite activity might be changing from swinging to sliding. I will keep you posted. Lily is researching her favorite park in Anchorage. We still have about 20 to check out.

Gardening

Lily has been the most helpful gardener. She pulled off blooms in the front yard. In the backyard, she tasted the dirt to make sure it was good for the plants. Oh so helpful.

Talkeetna

We spent the weekend in Talkeetna. Mark had fish to pick up from his trip the week before with a college friend. Lily had lots of fun throwing rocks into the river. Oh and the train went by.

New Toys

Some babies like stuffed animals but Lily found her dad's tape measures and decided they were a lot of fun. Mark is sure she wants to be an engineer.
